Reporting a mis-parsed user agent
The most useful report includes three things:
- The exact user agent string, copied rather than retyped
- What this site reported for it
- What it should have reported, and how you know
The parser page produces a shareable link containing the string — pasting that link is the fastest way to send an example.
Requesting a device or crawler
If a device class or a crawler is missing from the database, send the string along with what it belongs to. Real strings observed in your own logs are far more valuable than reconstructions.
Response time
This is a small side project, so replies are not instant — but every report gets read, and parser corrections usually ship in the next build.
